NL Het werk van Sarah Margnetti combineert de fragmentatie van het menselijk lichaam met de optische illusie. Margnetti volgde een opleiding in trompe l'oeil-techniek van geschilderde materialiteit aan het Van der Kelen- Logelain Instituut. Ze maakte voor deze tentoonstelling een groot gordijn, dat deels de snelbouwsteen van het gebouw imiteert en deels een zelfportret is.
Margnetti heeft onlangs de prestigieuze Zwitserse kunstprijs gewonnen. Haar werk is internationaal vertoond, onder meer op locaties als SATLTS, Basel; Deborah Bowmann, Brussel; Le Commun, Genève; Zabriskie Point, Genève; en Zwitsers Instituut, Rome.
EN Sarah Margnetti's work focuses on the fragmentation of the human body as well as the optical illusion. Margnetti was trained in trompe l'oeil technique of painted materiality at the Van der Kelen-Logelain Institute. She made a large curtain for this exhibition, which partly imitates the building structure and is a self-portrait.
Margnetti recently won the prestigious Swiss art prize. Her work has been shown internationally, including at locations such as SATLTS, Basel; Deborah Bowmann, Brussels; Le Commun, Geneva; Zabriskie Point, Geneva; and Swiss Institute, Rome.
